Last month we reported on the FCC’s prompt adoption of new service rules governing operation in the H Block, i.e., the portion of the spectrum consisting of the 1915-1920 MHz and 1995-2000 MHz bands. The Commission’s Report and Order has now been published in the Federal Register, which sets the effective date for most of the new rules at September 16, 2013. The exceptions? Those would be Sections 1.2105(a)(2)(xii), 27.12, and 27.17, all of which involve new “information collections” that must first be run past the Office of Management and Budget, thanks to the Paperwork Reduction Act.
